Corrections Policy

Every error report is triaged, resolved and logged. Here is exactly how that works.

Why we publish this

MoneyMust content is used for research, so accuracy is a core obligation rather than a courtesy. This policy explains how errors are reported, how quickly they are reviewed, and how corrections appear on the page.

How to report an error

  • Use the contact form and select "Data correction" as the subject.
  • Include the page URL, the specific figure or statement, and the source you believe is correct.
  • Links to the institution's official page or disclosure document help us verify fastest.

Triage timelines

  • Priority 1 — factual product data (interest rates, fees, premiums, eligibility, tax treatment): reviewed within 2 business days.
  • Priority 2 — explanatory content (how a product works, definitions, examples): reviewed within 5 business days.
  • Priority 3 — presentation issues (labels, typos, broken links): batched into the next content review cycle.

Levels of correction

  • Silent update: routine refreshes such as a revised rate card, where the underlying fact changed rather than being wrong. The page's "last updated" date changes.
  • Correction note: a material factual error is fixed and noted on the page, with the date of correction.
  • Retraction: if a page cannot be substantiated, it is unpublished and the reason is recorded in our transparency report.

Independence

Correction decisions are made by the research team on the evidence alone. Requests from institutions are treated identically to requests from readers: we verify against primary sources and correct only what the sources support. We do not remove accurate, sourced information on commercial request.

What we cannot do

We cannot dispute or resolve service issues between you and a financial institution, and we cannot advise on whether a product suits you. For service complaints, contact the institution and, where applicable, the relevant regulator's grievance mechanism.
