AUM
Assets Under Management is the total market value of the investments a fund or manager holds.
What it means in practice
AUM signals scale and liquidity. Very large small-cap AUM can make it harder for a manager to enter or exit positions without moving prices, while very small AUM can mean higher per-unit costs.
