Waiting Period
The time a health policy must run before certain conditions or treatments become claimable.
What it means in practice
Typical structure: 30 days initial waiting, one to two years for listed ailments, two to four years for maternity, and up to three years for declared pre-existing diseases. Waiting periods carry over when you port a policy.
